THE team behind productions of 'One Man, Two Guvnors' and 'Loot' seen locally, are returning with a new tour with the multi-award winning comedy masterpiece 'Art'.

Black RAT Productions will be at staging the play at Newtown’s Hafren theatre on Saturday, October 12; and will also be coming to Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Tuesday, October 29; and Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon, on Wednesday, November 6.

The cast of regular company favourites includes Keiron Self, fondly remembered also as the Harper’s neighbour and fellow dentist in the BBC TV’s long running comedy series 'My Family' as well as 'High Hopes' and 'Still Open All Hours'.

He plays Yvan, with Gareth John Bale as Serge, and Richard Tunley as Marc

Yasmina Reza’s original play has become a theatrical phenomenon, and this translation by Christopher Hampton brings out all the humour of three men, one painting, and much disaster!

Serge has bought a large, completely white painting for an extortionate sum of money. Marc hates the painting and cannot believe his friend could possibly want such a modern piece. Yvan attempts, unsuccessfully to placate both sides with hilarious consequences.

The question is: 'Are you who you think you are or are you who your friends think you are?'

Tonight (Friday), The Hafren welcomes 'Les Musicals', a duo of G4 frontman Jonathan Ansel and 'Britain’s Got Talent' winner Jai McDowall showcasing hit songs from the greatest musicals.

Concert tickets are £23, but VIP tickets include a 'meet and greet' with Jonathan and Jai at £57.50, plus a complimentary glass of wine (or juice), and the opportunity to take photographs and get autographs.
