A THIRD Powys County Councillor has resigned in a matter of weeks.
Sarah Lewis has resigned from the council with immediate effect.
Cllr Lewis, who was a member of the Conservative Group, had represented Brecon St Mary ward since May 2017.
Arrangements for a by-election are to be announced.
In the interim period, neighbouring councillors will be able to assist constituents. Contacts details are:

Powys County Council has already asked for nominations to replace Neil Morrison, who represented Newtown South, and Gary Price, who represented Llandrindod North, with a deadline of last Friday, September 27. If there are sufficient candidates for an election a poll will be held on Thursday, October 24.
Mr Morrison, who had been a county councillor since May 2017, resigned at the beginning of September; while Mr Price, who had been a county councillor since 2004, resigned from the council with immediate effect at the end of August.
