Jane Dodds, the Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, has called for the Prime Minister to resign after the highest court in the country ruled that his suspension of parliament was unlawful.

“I am pleased that the Supreme Court have concluded what we knew all along - that Boris Johnson’s prorogation of Parliament was unlawful.

“It is simply unacceptable that Mr Johnson has tried to silence parliament and silence the voices of the people, simply because he does not want to be held to account. His actions have shown that he is not fit to be Prime Minister. He should resign.

“I am pleased that parliament is sitting again, and will continue to represent the people of Brecon and Radnorshire and hold this reckless Conservative Government to account.”
