A CAR boot sale will be held this weekend in memory of an iconic figure at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.
The Chirk and Weston Rhyn Branch of The League of Friends to the RJAH orthopaedic hospital will be holding a classic car show as well as the car boot sale on Sunday, September 15 on the grounds of the hospital.
The event is being held in memory of John Davies at from the hospital's NHS Foundation Trust.
John, who many knew from the League of Friends Help Desk, died in April of this year after a long illness.
Victoria Sugden, charity director for the League of Friends, said: "John was a really big character, retired auctioneer and very long term League of Friends volunteer as his late wife Hillary had also been.
"John organised vintage cars at the League fête every year and was an absolutely lovely gentleman who is greatly missed."
The cost to enter the car boot sale is £6.50 for cars and £12.50 for vans. this price includes a breakfast roll and hot drink.
Doors open at 8am and close at 2pm.
