Police are investigating a serious assault in Guilsfield which has left a man in his 60s with "life-changing" injuries.
A 48-year-old man from the Welshpool area has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection to the incident and remains in police custody.
The incident happened at Garth Vaughan, Guilsfield, at around 3.30pm on Sunday, September 8.
A man aged in his 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious head and neck injuries, which are being described as "life changing".
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: "There will be an increased police presence in the area today (Monday, September 9), as officers carry out house-to-house enquiries."
