A 34-year-old man stole a dessert cabinet from Newtown McDonald's.
Craig Vernon Henry Jones, of Lon Pantyllyn, Newtown, stole the dessert cabinet, which was worth £170, from the fast food restaurant on March 14.
Jones admitted the offence at Welshpool Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday, August 27), and was given a 12-month conditional discharge. This means that no action will be taken unless he commits a further offence within that time period.
He was also told to pay compensation to McDonald's of £178, court costs of £85 and victim surcharge of £20.
