A WELSHPOOL woman has been given a 12-month conditional discharge after she was caught with cannabis.
Karen Rivers told police she was hiding the Class B drug from her partner when officers, executing a warrant at her home in Coed Y Bryn, found powder in a tin in the kitchen.
The street value of the cannabis was said to be between £20 and £40.
Rivers, 33, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug at North East Wales Magistrates’ Court sitting at Mold.
Emma Simoes, defending, said: “She had hid the drugs from her partner and did not intend to use them herself.”
Rivers also has to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £120.
