A WELSH rural mental health charity is set to benefit from a fundraising tractor run through the Banwy Valley.

The DPJ Foundation has been chosen as the tractor run organisers’ charity and the event will be held on Sunday, August 18.

Event organisers, members of Dyffryn Banw Young Farmers Club, are urging the whole community to get involved.

The charity supports people in rural communities suffering with poor mental health, especially men in the agricultural sector which carries one of the highest rates of suicide.

Starting from Banw Community Hall at 10am, the Dyffryn Banw Tractor Run will also raise funds for the local YFC.

The fee to join the tractor run journey also includes food.

It costs £15 per tractor, £10 per extra passenger and £5 for primary and secondary school-aged children.
