ONE of the border country’s longest established events comes of age this weekend with the 21st annual Farmer Phil’s Music Festival taking place near Gatten Farm, Ratlinghope, near Churchstoke.
The bar is actually open from Wednesday night with live bands, but the festival officially starts on Friday, August 9.
The line-up headliners are Lindisfarne tonight, The Special Neville Staple Band on Saturday, and Slim Chance on Sunday, with the many others including 3 Daft Monkeys, Oh My God! It’s the Church, The Undercover Hippy, The Stiff Joints, Georgia and the Vintage Youth, White Men Can’t Funk, Cracked Actors, Blackmax and the Pirates, and Wyrd Sisters, as well as such local bands as the Wayne Martin Band, The Mighty Vipers, The Surfragettes, and AC/BC.
