On Monday, August 5, a public meeting is taking place in Guilsfield to discuss a 22 property development.

The chair of Guilsfield Community Council, Ian Harrison, says that there is not enough time to discuss the application at council meetings due to time restrictions.

"I want residents to have an opinion, to make a contribution, to make their views known before we get into the full formal planning process," he said.

The application, for homes to be built between the village of Guilsfield and the hamlet of Groes-lwyd, is currently still at the pre-application stage.

The meeting will take place at Guilsfield Community Centre at 7pm. At 8pm, community councillors will meet to make their decision on the proposed development.

"We haven't had anything like this happen for a very long time in the village. I think it is important that residents are able to share their views," Mr Harrison said.
