NICOLE et Martin, the award winning Swiss-based theatre company performing fairytales by the Brother Grimm with theatre, music, song, dance, juggling, and acrobatics return to Presteigne this weekend.
They will be setting up their big white tent at Went’s Meadow to open this Saturday, August 3, with 'Hansel and Gretel' at 3pm, with other tales to come on August 5, 8, 9, and 10.
Nicole and Martin and their two boys travel throughout Europe in their painted wooden wagons, setting up their magical white tent and enchanting audiences of all ages.
In the last 20 years, they have performed 2,759 times in 550 venues and in 14 different countries. Their shows are translated and performed in eight different languages.
These old folk tales take on a new guise with Nicole and Martin’s unmistakable story-telling style. Their performances combine theatre, music, song, dance, juggling, acrobatics, laughter and goosebumps. Plus French crêpes and Italian coffee – don’t miss them!
Shows continue on Monday, August 5, at 3pm with 'The Fisherman and his Wife'; on Thursday, August 8, at 6.30pm with 'The Girl without Hands'; on Friday, August 9, at 6.30pm with 'Iron John'; and on Saturday, August 10, at 3pm with 'The Musicians of Bremen'.
