A FORESTER from Llandrindod Wells has been rewarded for his 45-year service at a country estate near Llanwrthwl.
Mervyn Downing Venn, 66, was awarded a Long Service Medal by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) on Monday, July 22.
Since 1974, Mr Venn was employed as a forester for the Gibson Watt family, from the Doldowlod Estate.
Mr Venn was presented with a medal by the RWAS’s President for 2019 Seimon Thomas and his wife, Eleanor at the President’s Pavilion.
