“It’s a massive privilege and a massive shock for me, really. I’m over the moon to finish Harper on a high with an award. It’s onwards and upwards now!" he said.

“I’m really proud of my heritage and background coming from a traditional farm at home. I’m looking forward to take over the family farm eventually. I’m also looking forward to starting a new job in September.

Ifan added: “I would definitely like to thank Harper Adams. I entered university as quite a shy person and it’s broadened my horizons. It’s been brilliant through my placement at Moy Park and I’ll hopefully graduate in the summer.

“Thank you Harper and my family for supporting me.”
