A large-scale cannabis factory with a street value of £1 million has been uncovered by Dyfed-Powys Police.
Officers seized the Class B drugs at a detached residential property in Clyro, near Hay-on-Wye, on Wednesday, July 24.
A 45-year-old man from Birmingham, a 36-year-old man from Wolverhampton and a 39-year-old man from Birmingham were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and are currently in police custody.
“This is a significant result for police and the community of Clyro," Sergeant Ciaran Ryan said.
"A large amount of cannabis has been prevented from being sold on our streets. The production and supply of illegal drugs will not be tolerated or ignored by Dyfed-Powys Police. We will act on the intelligence picture we build of suspicious goings-on and will take action wherever possible.
Sgt Ryan added: “There are signs to look out for in a community that can signify drugs activity and I would urge anyone who suspects this is happening in their neighbourhood, to contact us.”
Some of signs of drugs activity are:
- An increase in visitors or cars to a house or flat
- Regularly changing residents
- Substance misuse or drug paraphernalia
- Someone having new unaffordable items or clothing
