TICKETS are selling fast for a new three day music festival near Welshpool, with 54 acts on three stages opening next Friday, July 26.

Highlights of Funk in the Forest will include Frozen Cabin on Friday, Gen and the Degenerates on the Saturday, and Jonathan Markwood’s Hoo-Hah Conspiracy on Sunday, July 28,

Eclectic music acts are coming from all over North Wales, Wrexham, Shropshire and beyond to this boutique event in the rolling hills of Brithdir, near Welshpool.

It’s hosted by quirky fashion designer, art and music enthusiast Clem Rye with two stages carved into the hillside in a beautiful ancient pine forest to create an intimate vibe with the entire site lined with art and illusion.

There will be lots of DJ sets and other live acts will include Infinite Space Theory, Dark Frequencies, Honey Trap, Compact Pussycat, Vickie Ellis, We Are Parkas, Delight A Thief, Candy Mountain, Battery Farm, Diego Brown and the Good Grove, Vidorra, Booyaka, Nikki and the Waves, Friends of Merlin, Coyote Grove, and Father Benjamin and the Frosty Mornings.

There will be a third acoustic stage, festival traders, coffee, cocktail and booze bars, yoga, food and all the trappings and trimmings of a forest about to get funky.
