Powys County Council is holding a string of drop in sessions across the county to encourage Powys people to consider becoming foster carers.
If you could provide a caring and safe environment within your home for a local child, teenager and or group of siblings, then you are asked to pop and see the team at one of its drop in sessions this summer at:
- St Marys Church, Brecon: Tuesday, July 9, 11.30 – 4pm
- The Cwtch, Builth Wells: Tuesday, July 16, 1pm – 4pm
- The Herb Garden, Llandrindod Wells: Thursday, August 1, 10am – 4pm
The council said there are many ways you could help local children, from short or long-term placements, overnight or weekend support to supported lodgings for care leavers.
Jan Coles, head of children’s services at Powys County Council said: “I urge anyone thinking about fostering to go along to the drop in sessions to have an informal chat with our professional and experienced team. You could be the person to make a real difference to the life of a local child or young person in Powys.”
