EDUCATION Minister Kirsty Williams paid a visit to Llanidloes to celebrate the formation of the town’s newly-formed Schools Federation.
Ms Williams accepted an invitation to join pupils, parents, staff and governors from Llanidloes Primary School and Llanidloes High School on July 21.
During her visit Ms Williams popped into lessons to chat with pupils and staff on tours around both school sites.
At Llanidloes Primary School, the education minister got stuck in with the outdoor lessons with younger pupils by planting flowers and playing with a water feature. She then sat with pupils and asked them questions about their creative lesson.
As well as sharing her vision for Welsh education, Ms Williams heard the vision for the future of the Llanidloes School Federation which will begin in September.
