WEST Mercia Police have confirmed there was a safeguarding incident on Monday morning at the Marches School in Oswestry.
Police were called to the school in Morda road at around 11.45am to reports of concerns for a student's welfare.
The incident was resolved shortly afterwards, with no arrests being made.
Meanwhile a spokesperson for the Marches said: "A localised incident took place at The Marches School today involving a student.
"The senior leadership team exercised the lockdown procedure to protect all staff, students and visitors on site.
"The Police attended to support the staff however were not required to take any action.
"Our policy is not to discuss students due to their age and vulnerability, as such the school does not wish to comment further on the incident."
