People in Presteigne have praised the local fire crew for their quick response but have criticised some motorists' bad parking.

One Facebook user said: "Well done Presteigne fire for the quick response. If some people didn’t stupidly park by the cash point on double yellows, you would have been even quicker. People of Presteigne please take note that double yellow lines are sometimes there for a reason! Tonight being an example!"

In a post on Facebook, Presteigne Fire Station said: "Best wishes and thoughts for all involved and thank you to any members of the public that played their part."
