Dyfed-Powys Police were called to an address at Rhydybont by the ambulance service shortly before 9pm on Thursday, June 20.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson added: "People living in the Penparcau area of Aberystwyth might be aware of a higher than usual police presence as officers work to establish the events leading up to her death."

Michael Parker, 40, who was arrested at the property on Thursday, was charged with the breach of a restraining order. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for the offence on Saturday, June 22.

A statement from Marie's family said: “As a family we are distraught by our loss and Marie will be missed by all.  We would like to thank family and friends for their support which has meant so much to the whole family, however we would now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privacy in which to do so.”
