So the rains have arrived – and at the time of writing this we were still expecting some spectacular thunder and lightning storms over the coming hours.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for the whole of Shropshire of heavy ran which could lead to flooding and some travel disruption so make sure you leave extra time this morning for your journeys and take extra care.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
"There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost."
But don't worry, it's all expected to blow over by this evening.
