These enchanting images capture a rare glimpse into the lives of wild foxes - that trusted a Powys wildlife photographer to enter their forest den.

These bushy-tailed creatures have been pictured playing and hunting at a nature reserve near Amsterdam, in Netherlands.

Sean Weekly, 29, spent a year growing close to these red foxes before being rewarded with the set of pictures which truly capture their natural beauty.

Sean, of Builth Wells, said: "The collection of images are from my many hours spent with them.

"It's always rewarding as a wildlife photographer to be immersed into the life of any living animal, being outside amongst nature helps soothes the soul.

"And when you are rewarded with close encounters and animals who trust your presence is always a beautiful moment.

"I really wanted to concentrate on creating beautiful intimate images of the red fox."

The professional photographer said after spending time with the animals, they became more comfortable with him which allowed him to capture these moments.

He said he spent the "whole of this year concentrating" on the foxes around the reserve.

Sean added: "I have visited a few times under various conditions and this is how I can achieve this kind of collection.

"It took a lot of time visiting and returning back to the same location to achieve the various images that I took."

These images were taken at the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen Reserve, near Amsterdam.
