MEMBERS of Powys County Council’s (PCC) standards committee will be told how many complaints have been made to a watchdog.

At the meeting on Wednesday, June 5, head of legal and democratic services, Clive Pinney, will be outlining how many complaints are investigated or at by the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales, Nick Bennett.

These would be complaints about PCC councillors and Town or Community councillors in the county.

Mr Pinney in his report will tell the committee that there are 12 complaints;

  • Two complaints the Ombudsman is investigating
  • Eight complaints that the Ombudsman has not decided yet if they merit investigation
  • One complaint where a decision was made not to investigate but is now subject to a review
  • One complaint was received but was not investigated

The document says that the report is for decision, information and discussion.

There are no details to go with the complaints.
