INTERNATIONAL artist Andrew Logan’s unique sparkling Museum of Sculpture at Berriew, near Welshpool, opens its doors for its 28th season this Saturday, June 1.

As well as his signature sculptures and jewellery, it also includes original costumes and memorabilia from his renowned Alternative Miss World contests, and other treasures including the ‘Cosmic Egg’ back home after being on loan to the National Trust’s Buckland Abbey property in Devon last year.

Andrew is also delighted to have accepted an invitation to be a patron for the local disability-led artists group Celf-Able.

Open to all ages and abilities, Celf-Able is run by disabled and disability artists in Montgomeryshire and provides opportunities for people to get together, share and learn from each other.

The group enjoyed a visit to the Museum and were inspired by Andrew’s work. He met them and now looks forward to working with them as their patron.

Andrew has produced a postcard for Celf-Able’s fundraising ‘Secret Art Sale’ when will be held at Newtown’s Oriel Davies Gallery on Saturday, July 20.

Various other artists have provided decorated postcards to be sold in sealed envelopes. There are also original artworks for a Lucky Squares sale and prints from Newtown artist Brian Jones, Brooks artist Linda Jane James, Celf-Able artists and others.
