THEATR Clwyd has confirmed details of this year's Family Arts Festival which will take place at the Mold-based venue from Friday July 26 to Sunday July 28.

The event will include shows and films for all the family plus plenty of free activities including workshops, storytelling and creative play.

Topping the bill are daily performances of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Tabby McTat. Interwoven with original songs, Tabby McTat is a heart-warming tale of friendship and loyalty from the team behind last year’s joyful Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales.

Other shows across the weekend include the interactive and multi-sensory Inside, from South Korea’s Brush Theatre, the ingenious The Little Musician, the critically-acclaimed and uproarious Chores and the magical and imaginative The Buildy-Uppy Dance Show. For those wishing to see a performance in Welsh, Aran Goch’s Rwtsh Ratsh Rala Rwdins celebrates its 30th birthday with an adventure in the land of Rwla.

Other opportunities to get involved include creative arts, drama and dance workshops, storytelling sessions and relaxed classical music from Baby Brahms. And finally, screenings of Pixar’s brand-new adventure Toy Story 4 will be shown across the weekend.

To help the festival run as smoothly as possible there will be buggy parks, baby changing areas, low cost parking, helpful staff, relaxing spaces and safety wristbands. There’s also plenty of tasty family-friendly food available from the café or families are welcome to bring their own picnics.

The Family Arts Festival is at Theatr Clwyd Fri 26 – Sun 28 July. Tickets priced from £2 are available from the Theatre Clwyd Box Office on 01352 701521.
