A pre-application consultation is underway as part of proposals to allow more waste to be disposed at Bryn Posteg landfill, near Llanidloes.
Information needs to be gathered by Potters Waste Management’s consultants Caulmert to get a clear understanding of the project before the planning application is submitted to Powys County Council for consideration.
Following a meeting at Llanidloes Town Hall on May 17, the consultation period was extended by two weeks to Wednesday, June 5. At the end of the consultation period Caulmert will collate and review all comments received.

The proposals involve a retrospective planning application for an overtip which was found several metres higher than what was allowed.
A new planning application will be submitted to fill a void from October 2019 onwards. The end date of capping is October 2022 and the complete restoration will be competed by October 2023.
Natural Resources Wales has not completed its inquiry into why the wrong plans were used.
Information about the pre-consultation is on the Caulmert
