VISITORS to Cae Glas Park had plenty to do this weekend with entertainment in the form of a brass band and miniature railway.
Mark and Margaret Hill-Tout came to Cae Glas Park with two of their miniature trains and although the weather interrupted running, many people still had the chance to ride and have fun.
For the miniature railway, there was a donation of 50p, all of which went to the mayor's charity.
To add to the fun, the Porthywaen Silver Band were playing in the bandstand, filing the park with rousing music.
Victoria Graham, chairman of the Porthywaen Silver Band, said: "The band are playing their annual slot in the bandstand. We have all sorts of people who play, with mixed abilities.
"This is a splendid band. We are Oswestry's local brass band really.
"We are charity funded, which means we can provide free opportunities to learn an instrument from scratch."
