THE A5 between Whittington and Mile End is closed following a collision.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between two vans on the A5 near to the Middleton Road bridge at 4.25pm
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said one of the vans had rolled over and one ambulance and a paramedic attended the scene.
Meanwhile Shropshire Fire and Rescue dispatched two fire engines to the scene from Oswestry, joined by an operations officer was in attendance.
The fire service confirmed that two comercial vans were involved, but no persons were trapped. Crews on the scene made the vehicles safe.
Fire crews confirmed the incident was under control by 5.04pm
There are no details on injuries at this time.
West Mercia Police posted on Twitter: "Be aware, A5 at Oswestry closed in both directions due to a serious RTC."
