Police are investigating a series of thefts which happened within 24 hours in Montgomery.

A firefighter's bike, a 4x4 vehicle, cash and important documents, and another mountain bike were stolen from different locations in the town between Monday afternoon, May 13, and Tuesday morning, May 14.

Dyfed-Powys Police say they are treating the four incidents as linked.

A Montgomery firefighter's bike (pictured below), which he uses to respond to fire calls when on call, was taken from his garden shed sometime between 2pm on Monday and 11.30am on Tuesday. The grey frame and distinctive red tyres Orange Patriot bike is worth more than £2,000 when bought new.

A dark coloured Land Rover Freelander was stolen from The Dragon Hotel's car park, in Market Square, sometime overnight from Monday in to Tuesday.

Sometime between 6pm on Monday and 10am on Tuesday, around £10 in cash, bank cards, and documents were stolen from a red Volkswagen Golf, which was parked at Chirbury Road.

A second bicycle was taken from an address at Ffordd Mortimer sometime during the early hours of Tuesday morning. It is an orange Calibre Bossnut V2 mountain bike.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information to report it by calling 101.
