The youngsters were first up in the 5-kilometre race around Alyn Waters Country Park as they kicked-off the event at 12.30pm.
The under 12s who registered to take part tackled a series of obstacles – including mud pits - on their way to the finish line which they reached after sliding down a muddy slide.
It was the same for the adults too when they got started at 1.15pm.
They had to scramble over A-frames and crawl through mud pits on all parts of the park’s terrain as they battled to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
