It was a busy morning for members of Llanrhaeadr YM Garden Club – who are celebrating their 20th year.

Their annual plant sale was full to bursting at the Public Hall with plenty of blooms on sale, as well as delicious cakes and refreshments.

Secretary Sue Bosson explained that proceeds go towards providing top speakers for meetings, as well as coach trips which this year will include Ness Gardens on the Wirral, Hereford Cathedral Gardens and Croft Castle in Herefordshire.

She continued: "It just seems to be getting bigger and better.

"All the plants here are grown by members and the refreshments are all made by members as well.

"Everybody mucks in, it's really good."

As well as the annual plant sale, the club also organises a charitable fundraiser which this year will take place at Stackyard Farm in aid of research into ovarian cancer.
