WESTON Rhyn will hold their annual meeting on Monday, May 20.

There are several items on the agenda for the meeting, which will be held in the Village Institute at 7pm.

The main business of the meeting include the election of a new chairman and vice chairman.

Also up for discussion is the decision whether to replace faulty streetlights in the village with new LED bulbs as part of cost saving measures.

Councillors will also hear updates from West Mercia Police, Shropshire Council, the Parish Hall Management Committee, the Local Joint Committee and the chairman.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, and will be given a chance to speak before councillors at the beginning.

A number of other items are up for discussion, most notably the Chirk Bank play area petition, from residents objecting to the siting of new play equipment and a discussion on the development of land adjacent to the school playing field.
