The annual search for Llanfair Caereinion's new Carnival Queen is underway – and the deadline is nearing for entries.
The Carnival Queen will preside over the biggest show in town on Saturday, June 15.
The Queen must always come from within the Llanfair Caereinion cluster. She will be given £50 towards her dress and her float will be decorated by the carnival committee.
The Llanfair royalty will be attended by eight young attendants from local schools and will travel to the carnival on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.
Contenders for the crown need to contact organisers on the Llanfair Caereinion Carnival Facebook group or text Nicola Peate on 07890892124 by this Friday, May 17.
The results will be announced shortly after the closing date.
