The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has charged two teams with disciplinary offences following allegations of racist abuse by fans at a match held in Newtown.
The charges come after an investigation of reported incidents at the semi-final of the FAW Trophy between Cefn Albion and STM Sports at Latham Park on Saturday, March 16.
Cefn Albion have been charged with the following offences:
- Disciplinary Offence for the alleged racial or other discriminatory behaviour, conduct or language of its spectators.
- Disciplinary Offence for the alleged failure of its spectator(s) to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or failure to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language.
- Disciplinary Offence for their spectator(s) alleged encroachment on the pitch area.
STM Sports have been charged with the Disciplinary Offence for the alleged failure if its spectator(s) to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or failure to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language.
Both clubs have seven days to respond to the FAW charges.
Cefn Albion went on to win the FAW Trophy in April against Pontardawe Town.
