A COMMUNITY group in Oswestry is looking to tackle loneliness through the form of casual conversation.
Cafe Life at the Cabin Lane Church have set aside a 'Chatter and Natter' table, inviting people suffering from loneliness a chance to chat.
The idea is part of a nationwide scheme and at the café it is being championed by church member Carol Daley.
"Over the last three to four weeks we've had a table set aside so that people can have a chat," said Carol.
"A lot of places are doing their bit to tackle loneliness at the moment and it just seems like a good idea.
"It works quite well, a lot of people come here in the day and it invites them to have a conversation."
