A group of young farmers have swept Montgomeryshire YFC to first place in a national reading competition.
Elin Lloyd Davies and Ffion Davies from Dyffryn Tanat YFC, and Carys Jones from Four Crosses YFC will go on to represent Wales at the UK national finals in July after coming first the 14 and under reading category.
Over 400 YFC members travelled to the Royal Welsh Showground on Saturday, March 23 to take part in the Wales YFC Festival of Public Speaking.
Elen Williams, Wales YFC’s Competitions Chairman said: "It was a privilege to witness such a wealth of talent. Young people through the competitions on offer had the opportunity to develop their presentation and speaking skills, which will be of value to them throughout their lives and its obvious that they appreciate the skill of speaking well in Public.
"On behalf of the Federation, I would like to extend my thanks to all judges, stewards, trainers and supporters who helped make the event a great success."
