GUITARIST Geoff Robb performs his award winning nature inspired concert ‘The Music of Trees’ at 7pm on Monday, May 6, at the Bleddfa Centre for the Creative Spirit, near Knighton.

The evening will also include a talk by Llanidloes-based guitar maker and lute player Richard Osborne.

‘The Music of Trees’ won Geoff the 2018 Brighton Fringe Live Music Award. Beautiful meditative compositions blend his classical training and background in healing with his love of Spanish and Celtic music.

He has performed to audiences all over the UK and Europe at venues ranging from Buckingham Palace to Glastonbury Festival and his new compositions are inspired by the trees of Sussex. If you enjoy beautiful acoustic guitar music then don’t miss this award-winning show.

Richard Osborne has been making guitars and mandolins for more than 20 years. He learnt the trade in Stephen Hill’s Spanish guitar workshop in Lewes, Sussex and progressed on to his own workshop.

Here he continued to make his own steel string guitars and mandolin family instruments alongside a busy repair business which led him to working for some well known names in the music industry. He moved to Llanidloes in Mid Wales four years ago, with his family, where he teaches his month long guitar making courses for three months a year and makes to order the rest of the time.

Doors and bar open at 7pm. Tickets are £16, which includes supper. Reserve your tickets by emailing hello@bleddfacentre.org or call 01547 550377.
