GET along to enjoy a medley of performance free, plus tea and cakes, this Sunday afternoon, April 28, with the chance to find out what goes on at the unique Willow Globe Theatre and Shakespeare Link programme and how to get involved this summer, at the theatre near Llanwrthwl, Rhayader.

The open air theatre welcomes outstanding performers from the UK and beyond each summer for a programme of mostly Shakespeare performances

They also invite local primary schools and other community groups for workshops and residencies.

This year’s programme will be launched at 3pm on Sunday with all welcome to this fun, free event.

The Willow Globe Company will open the season by performing 'Pericles' on May 17, 18 and 19; there will be a Family Theatre talk using Shakespeare on June 8; and up to 20 Sundanese Gamelin performers from London and Indonesia will run a workshop and performance on June 22.

The renowned Factory theatre company will perform 'Anthony and Cleopatra' on July 13; Everyman Youth Theatre from Cardiff will perform 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' on July 21; and leading UK actors will perform a new production of 'Romeo and Juliet' on August 3.

A musical version of the comedy 'Much Ado About Nothing' will be presented on August 7; and the season will finish with a production of 'Richard III' on September 7 and 8.
