Nine junior members from across the counties of Wales YFC, including Eifion Davies of Rhayader YFC, have been selected for the Challenge Wales opportunity running this year through Wales YFC’s International Programme.
They are facing an exhilarating opportunity to sail from Gosport in the south of England all the way round to Cardiff in August.
The voyage’s aims are to offer an exciting experience and one that will broaden their horizons develop their personal and social skills and improve their prospects for the future.
The group will be involved in all aspects of sailing including steering and working the sails.
Wales YFC's Angharad Edwards said: “This is an incredible opportunity and we are delighted to offer our junior members the chance to travel as part of the international programme.”
