DOWLAIS Male Choir will be performing with supporting artistes at a charity choral concert at Penybont Community Centre, near Llandrindod Wells, this Sunday, April 14, for a 7.30pm start.

Lynda Price has organised this annual charity event with proceeds to the Alzheimer's Society.

Compere for the evening is Phil Gayther, and the guests will be Jennifer Drew Parry from Brecon, and Molly Price from Penybont. The accompanists will be Hannah Thomas and Kees Huysmans from Lampeter.

Molly Price is 16 and attends Llandrindod High School, and is a member of Dolau Young Farmers Club. She first appeared on stage at the age of 13, doing a solo at a YFC Rally day hosted by Howey YFC.

Molly has gone on to perform in many YFC productions either in main entertainments or performing in a 'One Plus' competition with Hannah Thomas being her accompanist; they have been in the top three each time.

Last Year Molly performed a solo in Dolau YFC's entertainment and went on to win 'Best Vocalist'.

Molly’s most recent performance was in February this year at the Albert Hall in Llandrindod Wells performing in Dolau YFC’s production of 'Up on the Roof' where she was again nominated for best vocalist.

Hannah Thomas, 14, also attends Llandrindod High School. She started learning the piano at the age of nine and has played for various occasions, she has grown in confidence through Dolau YFC taking part in many competitions.

Hannah came first in the piano solo in her year in the school eisteddfod in 2018, also last year she proudly played at her older sister's wedding and has recently taken her grade 5 theory exam and is hoping to carry on with her grades to build upon her piano skills.

Molly and Hannah work very well together having taken part in Young Farmers competitions on several occasions.
