STAFF and customers at an Oswestry pub had a surprise when a top comedian popped in for a pint or two.
Stand-up star Johnny Vegas proved a hit with patrons and bar staff alike when visited the Bailey Head on Saturday night.
Duncan Borrowman, who runs the pub with his wife Grace Goodlad, said that the Benidorm and Still Open All Hours star came for a night out with a work colleague.
"He was a nice bloke, he gave a big tip to the bar staff and spent two or three hours here," Mr Borrowman said.
"He was very friendly and chatty."
