ANTICIPATION is building for an annual charity fun run.

Oswestry Bunny Run will be held at Moreton Hall School in Weston Rhyn on Sunday, April 14.

The 5km run will raise funds for Ellesmere-based Hector's Greyhound Rescue, and organisers James Manford and Curtis Langley hope the event will be a big success.

“We are very proud of the Oswestry community and those within it. What the community groups do for this area is inspirational and so this is our way of giving back, " Mr Langley said.

"Without the help from our supporters Sainsbury’s and Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club we wouldn’t be able to have created such a successful and well attended event."

This year will be the event's fourth on the hop, raising funds for charities in the Oswestry area.

To date the run has raised nearly £3,000 for The Bone Cancer Centre, Hope House and The Movement Centre.

Organisers thanked community groups such as Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club for their support, as well as Oswestry Sainsbury’s for providing goodie bags.
