PARTY goers enjoyed an afternoon of good old fashioned fun in Llanfyllin.

The latest afternoon of ‘Tea with Old Time Singing’ was held on Friday, March 29 in Llanfyllin Library and Community Building organised by PAVO community connector, Sheela Hughes.

Julie Evans led the singing, Pauline Page-Jones accompanied and Linda Ward assisted with the teas.

A particular treat was a waltz by Jane and Len Jones to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mayor of Llanfyllin, Councillor Simon Baynes, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Singing together lifts your spirits and it was lovely to see Jane and Len Jones dancing so beautifully. Congratulations to everyone involved in organising this wonderful event. Long may it continue!”

Sheela Hughes said: “Tea with Old Time Singing is open to all senior citizens in the town and surrounding district.

"It is held every six weeks and the next event is on May 10. Please come and join us for an afternoon of music, tea, chatting and laughter.”
