Health bosses at a Montgomeryshire GP surgery have apologised after it was forced to close for three days this week.

A statement from Dyfi Valley Health confirmed that due to 'severe GP sickness', their Glantwymyn surgery would be closed today, Monday, March 25, Tuesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 28.

Patients are being advised to use the Machynlleth surgery for emergencies and prescriptions.

The full statement reads: "Due to severe GP sickness, including 2 partners and 1 pre booked locum, we are having to close our Glantwymyn branch this week.

"This will be for Mon 25, Tues 26, and Thurs 28 March.

"Machynlleth branch will be open as usual for all emergencies and appointments.

"All prescriptions are being transported to the Machynlleth dispensary for your collection.

"This situation will be reviewed again on Sun 31 March. We sincerely apologise for any upset or inconvenience caused."
