IN 2018, Daniel Stanley, from Welshpool, set himself a challenge: to lose weight.

As an incentive, he entered the Virgin London Marathon ballot. Luck was on his side and Daniel was successful in securing a place.

In the past year Daniel has been training and losing weight to make his dream of completing the famous marathon a reality. To date he has lost nearly four stone from the 21-stone frame he started with.

Whilst running the Virgin London Marathon, Daniel has chosen to raise money for Hope House Children’s Hospices: “I wanted to make a difference to not only me but also my local community when I undertake the marathon. Hope House is an incredible charity and I am proud to be able to support them”.

Daniel hopes to raise £500 to make a difference to the seriously ill children and families Hope House supports.
