TICKETS for a Newtown production of family favourite “the Sound of Music” have gone on sale ahead of a curtain raiser next month.
“The Sound of Music” is one of the most famous musicals of all time, and a shining example of the partnership between composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein.
Organisers at Newtown Musical Theatre Group are hoping the show, which includes well known favourites such as “My Favourite Things,” and the titular, “The Sound of Music,” is going to be a huge hit in Powys.
“Everyone knows the movie, but seeing it live on stage is an experience that can’t be missed,” said director Kristen Roach.
You can catch “The Sound of Music” at The Hafren on Thursday, April 4, at 7.30pm, Friday, April 5, at 7.30pm, and Saturday, April 6, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. The Saturday matinee will be signed by BSL signer, Cheryl Walker.
Visit www.thehafren.co.uk or call the box office at 01686 614555 for tickets.
