The A470 has been closed between Caersws and Llanidloes following a road traffic incident today, Friday March 15, Road Traffic Wales have said.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the incident involves a lorry which has toppled over near Leylands caravan park at the Llanidloes end of the stretch of road.
Police are on the scene of the incident.
Information from the North and Mid Wales division of Traffic Wales said:
"A470 : Both directions : Caersws to Llanidloes : Incident : Road closed : Delays possible"
Newtown's Road Traffic Policing Unit tweeted:
"Unfortunately the A470 Llanidloes to Llandinam will be closed for a short time. The verge is giving way and recovery need to secure the lorry to prevent it toppling."
