Rio the cat, who hitched a ride all the way from Hereford to Knighton, has been found safe and sound.
Rio, belonging to Amy Bedford, jumped into her next door neighbour's mum's car on Wednesday night (February 27).
He hitched a ride with her all the way to her house in Whitton, Knighton, over 30 miles away from his home in Hereford.
The cat then jumped out of the car and ran off.
Amy said her and her family were "absolutely devastated". "Especially our little girl," she said.
However, on Saturday, February 9, Rio the act was found in the fields next to the women's house where he ran off.
The woman's next door neighbour was having a cigarette in the garden and saw the grey cat.
Initially, she wasn't sure if it was him, so ran into her house to find the 'missing' poster she had been given a few days ago.
Once she realised it was in fact Rio, she tried to coax him towards her by using some food.
"It took her ages but she managed to grab him," Amy said.
"We're over the moon!"
