A North Powys holiday park has welcomed new managers.

Tony and Karen Wharton say they are are delighted to have taken the helm at the picturesque Seven Oaks Holiday Park at Crew Green, near Llandrinio.

Previously in charge of a holiday park in Bala for ten years, the couple succeed Ron and Margaret Brace, who have retired after nine successful years at Seven Oaks.

Karen said: “We decided to leave Bala at the end of last year and felt we maybe had one park left in us.

“We knew everybody at Salop Leisure as we had always bought our caravans from the company. We got a phone call asking if we would like to have a chat, so we were extremely happy to be offered this park and are really looking forward to the coming year."

The 35-acre park, which is particularly popular with owners from the West Midlands and North West, features two fishing lakes, as well as the opportunity for owners to fish on the park’s own stretch of the River Severn.

Tony Bywater, Chairman of Salop Leisure, added: “The park is looking absolutely beautiful and we are delighted that Tony and Karen are the new management team at Seven Oaks.

“We also wish Ron and Margaret every happiness in retirement after they did an excellent job at Seven Oaks for many years."
