Newtown Town Council is inviting local residents to a series of public events to give their views on how they want the town to develop over the next 10-15 years.
Councillor Richard Edwards, leading the “Place Plan” project, is encouraging as many people as possible to take part.
“We hope people will come and tell us their views on topics like housing, play areas, health and community facilities," he said.
"The Place Plan will influence the way in which planning applications are assessed in future and will also help attract even more investment into the town. We hope people will make the most of the opportunity.”
Drop in events will take place in the following locations:
- Mon, March 18 – 4–7pm - All Saints Church, Commercial St.
- Mon, April 8 – 5-7pm - Newtown High School
- Thu, May 2 – 4-7pm - Treowen Community Hall
- Weds, May 8 – 4-7pm - Waggon & Horses, Canal Rd
An online survey and an art competition will also be announced in the coming months.
